The new boutique Canali in Beijing Seasons Place has a visual impact which is particularly striking because of its unusual parallelogram plan, with three of the four sides facing the exterior, giving the store remarkable visibility.

 

There was a special focus during the design process on the big wrap-around facades, that embrace the entire boutique and are composed of windows and walls covered with grey Fossena stone that form a geometric composition with black metal linear inserts.

 

A matte black metal frame wraps all facades together and defines the entire volume. The same motif of the facade is reflected also in the background of the window display,, made of a framework with smoked glass inserts. During day-time, visitors in the interior can perceive different natural light shades, and during night-time the internal elements’ colors and shapes are partially screened to confer a slight intimate atmosphere.

 

Two elements skilful divide the boutique into three areas: the first one is the central accessory display in between the two entrances, covered in dark gray back-painted glass with illuminated shelves for shoes and bags. The second element is a clothing display characterized by vertical stainless steel slats that support shelves and hanging.

 

Dark walnut wood flooring islands and the corresponding lowering ceiling emphasize the division of the different selling areas.

 

The transparency of the dividing elements allows the visitor perceive the atmosphere as a whole, while at the same time each area maintains its own identity defining harmoniously the casualwear areas and the formalwear display areas.

 

Textured beige stone, dark mahogany wood, dark gray color back-painted glass, polished stainless steel, Crema Marfil stone, beige fabric and dark brown leather are the materials that coexist in furniture and wall coverings. Once again, in this Canali Boutique, we can find all the elements that are the hallmark of the architectural research that characterizes the current concept of the brand: simplicity, elegance, discretion and hospitality are undeniable.
