The M Missoni boutique at Yintai Parklife Centre in Beijing has a large window display along the entire width of the boutique that captures the visitor's attention and welcomes the customer in a space that radiates a clean, natural feel with neutral finishes.

 

The space is formed by two rooms with a warm and timeless atmosphere. The main room that welcomes the customer's entrance is wide and has a large accessories display that occupies the central front wall. This particular display features a grid of back-lit white decorative panels that highlight the merchandise. The panels are sporadically hinged forward, laterally, or back, indicative of the playful M Missoni mood.

 

The second room is more reserved, with a sitting area that allows the customer to have the necessary privacy. The fitting room area, which opens onto this room is spacious and has a three-way mirror that provides convenience and comfort to the fitting.

 

The boutique concept involves a small and discerning range of materials and colors. Soft, pastel shades of pink and smokey grey envelope the smooth lines and oval shapes of furnishings, welcoming simplicity, a sense of calm and an innate elegance. The environment is defined by a light and feminine touch.

 

The shop’s cipria pink colored walls are enhanced by bright white lacquered tables, pedestals and rectangular white-painted aluminum display frames with rounded edges, different heights and proportions. These rectangles are joined together creating a composition along the walls that frame and highlight the M Missoni collection. In these structures garments can be displayed front view and sideways, or folded on glass shelves. Curtains throughout the boutique are composed of small oval pieces of translucent resin tiles in 5 different airy neutral pastel colors and textures. The resins tiles are held together by rivets with chrome finish: a touch of freshness and originality to the way of displaying the product.

 

The flooring is made of gray ceramic tiles with wood parquet texture and layout that uniforms and makes the boutique more welcoming.

 

Without a doubt, the absolute peculiarity remains the chromatic selection that emphasizes the colors and play of textures of the fabrics. Enhanced also by the use of wall-washing light from above, that is reflected and radiated through the lacquered surfaces, the glass and mirrors.
