In the beating heart of a most important Milanese fashion district, born from the recovery of the old Milanese industries, a building with a strong and traditional character, once an audio recording school, sees the birth of the new showroom-headquarter Simonetta Ravizza.

 

The new headquarters are spread over two levels with an area of 570 sqm. The double-facing building have the entrance on via Morimondo with a facade with a traditional taste.

 

The reception alternates tradition and contemporary in the different elements: a black glass ribbon unravels from a monolith of the same crystal to create the reception desk, a solid block of concrete.

 

From this environment, the game of temporal jumps of the surfaces where the slatted concrete contrasts with a bare wall to show the bleached bricks of another era begins.

 

Through the internal courtyard of the complex you are guided by a succession of geometric iron vases to the entrance of the showroom.

 

Here the temporal contrast combines the bleached brick ceiling and the gray cementitious resin floor that draws a soft limbo on the entire perimeter. On the long sides of this cradle with light and bright tones, the garments of the different collections are arranged on the removable natural iron hangers and polished stainless steel details.

 

Freestanding hangers alternating with three work tables, shine under the light of the large discs of light above them, defining the entire environment in three parts. The back wall closes the exhibition space with gray slatted concrete where a monitor shows the most recent creations of the maison on the catwalk.

 

The upper floor houses the operational part of the new headquarters. A bright corridor with glass walls gives access to the sequence of work environments distinguished by their own character but with the same sense of brightness and transparency. The corridor have the two main areas to its two poles: the executive office and the style room.

 

The first represents in a figurative way the direct personalities of the showroom in which a scenic backdrop in raffia and stucco, approaches the bleached oak parquet, defining a fresh space with a singular character. The other end of the building is dedicated to the style room, where dark ceramic with a metallic effect contrasts with the light and delicate recovery of the wooden warped ceiling.

 

The entire complex regains a new life by showing the character of past decades, in perfect harmony with the philosophy of the home, whose watchwords of tradition, research and attention to detail, are the masters.
